Job summary

The Morley Academy is seeking a committed Cover Supervisor to support learning by supervising classes during short-term absence of teaching staff. You will engage pupils, maintain high standards of behaviour and help create a safe, positive learning environment across year groups.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, patient and adaptable, able to work effectively with colleagues, parents and students to support progress and the wider life of the Academy.

Qualifications

• GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
• Experience of working with young people and a passion for supporting their success.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to manage a classroom effectively and adapt to different situations.
• A calm, flexible and professional approach, with the enthusiasm to contribute to the wider life of the Academy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during short-term absences of teaching staff.
• Support students to stay on task and maintain positive behaviour.
