Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking Cover Supervisors to join our client schools in Stoke-on-Trent. You will supervise classes during teacher absences, deliver pre-set work, and maintain a positive, productive learning environment on a long-term basis with potential for permanent roles.

The role requires experience with children, GCSE Maths/English, and an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to work towards. Strong communication and safeguarding commitment are essential.

Salary: £100 - £120 per day

Are you looking for a long-term Cover Supervisor role with the opportunity to secure a permanent position?

I am looking for Cover Supervisors who can commit on a long-term basis as well as cover day-to-day shifts, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right Cover Supervisor. The successful Cover Supervisor will supervise whole classes during teacher absences, deliver pre-set work, manage behaviour effectively and support pupils' learning while contributing to the wider life of the school.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) with strong numeracy and literacy skills
• NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
