Job description

TeacherActive is working with secondary schools across Chesterfield that are looking for confident and reliable Cover Supervisors for the new academic year. These schools provide welcoming learning environments where staff are supported to maintain high expectations for student behaviour and achievement.

We are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor for flexible day-to-day work from September, with long-term opportunities available for the right Cover Supervisor. The successful Cover Supervisor will deliver pre-planned work across a variety of subjects, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged throughout lessons. As a Cover Supervisor, you will need to adapt quickly to different classrooms while building positive relationships with students and staff.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• At least 6 months' experience working with young people in a UK setting
• Previous classroom or secondary school experience is desirable
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Confidence supervising pre-planned lessons across different subjects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A flexible, reliable, and proactive approach
