Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting Cover Supervisors for a welcoming secondary school based in the Oldbury Wells area, with ASAP start dates and flexible part-time or full-time roles. You will supervise classes, deliver pre-prepared work, and help maintain positive behaviour to support pupil progress.

The role offers flexible hours and market-leading pay (£100–£120 per day), plus CPD certificates, a referral scheme, and dedicated onboarding support 24/7.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils or young people is desirable.
• Confidence supervising classes across KS3 and KS4.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and instructions left by teaching staff.
• Proactive, reliable and adaptable approach with a genuine interest in supporting young people's education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during teacher absence.
• Deliver pre-prepared work across a range of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour and support pupils.
• Ensure pupils across KS3/KS4 remain focused and engaged.

We are looking for Cover Supervisors for temporary part-time and full-time roles with an ASAP start, offering flexibility around your availability. As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absence, deliver pre-prepared work across a range of subjects, manage classroom behaviour and ensure pupils across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 remain focused and supported throughout their lessons.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils or young people is desirable
• Confidence supervising classes across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
