TeacherActive Ltd in the West Midlands is seeking a part-time Cover Supervisor to join our multi-site Provision across Wednesbury and West Bromwich. You will supervise lessons, uphold high behavioural standards and support pupils with SEMH needs who are at risk of exclusion.

Job description

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a multi-site Alternative Provision School based across Wednesbury and West Bromwich. Supporting Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students that have been permanently excluded or are at risk of exclusion, the school has achieved a Good OFSTED rating and is recognised for its Specialist Taskforce (APST), preventative education through its Centres of Learning, and the introduction of its innovative Centres of Recovery Education (COR), helping students develop both academically and personally.

The school is looking to appoint a part-time Cover Supervisor from September. The successful Cover Supervisor will be responsible for supervising lessons, maintaining high expectations of behaviour, and supporting pupils with SEMH needs who are at risk of or have been permanently excluded from mainstream education. Strong behaviour management is essential, alongside the ability to build positive relationships and create a safe, engaging learning environment.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
