Reeson Education are seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to work in a structured school environment in Sheffield. You will oversee lessons in the absence of the class teacher, delivering pre-set work and maintaining a focused classroom.

This role offers a competitive daily rate (£100–£130), flexible full-time or part-time hours, and opportunities for progression into teaching. Successful applicants will have strong safeguarding awareness and an enhanced DBS, or be willing to apply.

Reeson Education are looking for a capable Cover Supervisor to work in a structured and dynamic school environment in Sheffield (S5) starting from September 2026. This position suits someone adaptable, organised, and able to manage classroom behaviour while delivering pre-set work effectively.

About the Cover Supervisor Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task. You will follow lesson plans provided and maintain a focused and disciplined classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities as Cover Supervisor:

• Lesson Supervision: Deliver pre-set lessons and ensure pupils stay on task with their work.
• Classroom Management: Maintain strong behaviour management and uphold school policies.
• Student Engagement: Encourage participation and support pupils in completing assigned tasks.
• Progress Monitoring: Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil performance and behaviour.
• Professional Coordination: Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure smooth lesson delivery.

To succeed as a Cover Supervisor, you will need:
