Job summary

Reeson Education are seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to work in a structured school environment in Sheffield. You will oversee lessons in the absence of the class teacher, delivering pre-set work and maintaining a focused classroom.

This role offers a competitive daily rate (£100–£130), flexible full-time or part-time hours, and opportunities for progression into teaching. Successful applicants will have strong safeguarding awareness and an enhanced DBS, or be willing to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in educational or similar settings.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Calm, confident approach handling groups and challenging situations.
• Proactive and reliable work ethic.
• Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lesson Supervision: Deliver pre-set lessons and ensure pupils stay on task.
• Classroom Management: Maintain strong behaviour management and uphold school policies.
• Student Engagement: Encourage participation and support pupils in completing tasks.
• Progress Monitoring: Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil performance and behaviour.
• Professional Coordination: Work with school staff to ensure smooth lesson delivery.
