Job summary

TeacherActive in Retford is seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across local secondary schools for the 2026/27 year and beyond. You will deliver pre-set work and help maintain a positive learning environment.

This flexible role offers daily pay (£95–£110) and the chance to gain experience in education, with support from a dedicated consultant and access to training. Ideal for graduates or teachers transitioning, with DBS update service available.

• A degree or relevant qualification preferred.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in the Retford & Nottinghamshire area to start in the new academic year for 2026/27 and beyond. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in education, whether you are considering a future in teaching or seeking flexible work within schools.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work to students in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising classes during teacher absences
• Delivering lesson materials and instructions provided by teaching staff
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting students to stay on task with their work
• Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and any issues

Requirements
