Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to work in a structured school environment in Rotherham (S62) from September 2026. You will oversee lessons in the absence of the class teacher, following pre-set plans and maintaining a focused classroom.

Ideal candidates are adaptable, organized and able to manage behaviour while delivering tasks. An enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to apply is required; a supportive, professional setting offers development and progression

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in educational or similar setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Calm, confident approach when managing groups and handling challenging situations.
• Proactive and reliable work ethic.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set lessons and ensure pupils stay on task.
• Maintain strong behaviour management and uphold school policies.
• Encourage participation and support pupils in completing tasks.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil performance and behaviour.
• Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure smooth lesson delivery.
