Qualifications

• Degree or similar qualification.
• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students.
• Experience working with KS3 and KS4 pupils.
• Good knowledge of the National Curriculum.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A positive and professional approach to working with young people.

Responsibilities

• Supervising students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Delivering pre-planned work and ensuring students understand the tasks set.
• Keeping pupils focused and engaged throughout the lesson.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school expectations.
• Collecting completed work and returning it to the relevant teacher.
• Providing feedback to teachers regarding student progress, behaviour and any incidents.
• Creating a calm, safe and productive learning environment.

Our partnership school is looking for a confident Cover Supervisor who can supervise lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will be responsible for overseeing pre-planned lessons, ensuring students remain engaged with their work and maintaining a positive classroom environment.

This role is due to start in September and continue until the end of the academic year.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Supervising students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Delivering pre-planned work and ensuring students understand the tasks set.
• Keeping pupils focused and engaged throughout the lesson.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school expectations.
• Collecting completed work and returning it to the relevant teacher.
