Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Bebington and Wirral. You will supervise KS3 and KS4 classes during teacher absences, deliver pre-set work, and maintain classroom discipline in line with school policies.

Successful candidates will have experience with secondary youth, strong communication, and willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS. Flexible full-time, part-time or ad-hoc placements are offered with weekly pay and ongoing CPD support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with secondary youth (tutoring, coaching, youth work or TA roles).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with teenagers.
• Confidence with classroom management and handling low-level disruption.

Responsibilities

• Supervise high school classes (KS3 & KS4) during short-term teacher absences.
• Deliver pre-set work and learning instructions provided by the department.
• Maintain strong classroom control using the school's positive behaviour policies.
• Keep students focused and on-task throughout each lesson period.
• Collect completed work and report back to the subject department head.

Requirements:
