Job summary

Randstad Education in Heswall, Wirral is seeking motivated Cover Supervisors to join our schools for the upcoming academic year. You will supervise KS3 and KS4 classes during teacher absences, deliver pre-set work, and support a positive learning environment.

• Experience with secondary youth (e.g., tutoring, coaching, youth work, or TA roles).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence with classroom management and handling low-level disruption.
• Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Supervise high school classes (KS3 & KS4) during short-term teacher absences.
• Deliver pre-set work and learning instructions provided by the department.
• Maintain strong classroom control using the school's positive behaviour policies.
• Keep students focused and on-task throughout each lesson period.
• Collect completed work and report back to the subject department head.
