Job summary

Randstad Education in Warrington is seeking Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools with flexible day-to-day supply, full-time or part-time. You will lead pre-planned lessons, manage behaviour, and track student progress in a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with teenagers/young adults (e.g., TA, sports coach, youth worker)
• Confidence to manage a classroom and uphold behaviour positively
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply (we can help)

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-planned lessons across various subjects and keep students on task
• Maintain good classroom discipline using school policies
• Collect completed work and provide handover notes for the next teacher
• Assist pupils with questions during independent tasks
• Take electronic attendance registers at session start
• Uphold safeguarding guidelines throughout the day

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with teenagers or young adults (e.g., teaching assistant, sports coach, youth worker, tutor).
• Confidence to manage a classroom and handle behaviour positively.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one-we can help with this!).

Key Duties:
