Job summary

Responsibilities

• Supervise learning by delivering pre-set cover work in line with academy policy.
• Establish and maintain a positive, purposeful classroom environment.
• Respond to student questions and assist them in completing set activities.
• Promote inclusion and ensure all pupils feel accepted in the classroom.
• Provide pupils with constructive feedback on progress and achievements.
• Handle any classroom problems or emergencies according to school protocols.
• Coordinate resources and ensure completed work is returned to the appropriate department.
• Provide accurate reports to teachers regarding pupil achievement and dynamics.
• Recognise and celebrate pupil achievements in line with the academy's rewards policy.
• Liaise with Teaching Assistants to support students with additional needs during lessons.
