Job summary

The Supply Register is partnering with Birley Academy in Sheffield to recruit a Cover Supervisor to support learning when the class teacher is absent. The ideal candidate has experience with secondary-aged students, strong classroom and behaviour management, and effective communication; an Enhanced DBS (Update Service) is required or willing to obtain.

The Supply Register is partnering with Birley Academy to recruit a Cover Supervisor to support the school with high-quality, flexible staffing. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience working with young people who is confident leading a classroom and supporting learning in the absence of the class teacher.

Responsibilities

• Supervising whole classes during teacher absence
• Delivering pre-set lesson materials
• Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment
• Supporting students to stay focused and engaged
• Managing behaviour in line with school policies
• Providing feedback on pupil progress and behaviour
