Qualifications

• Must have legal entitlement to work full-time in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a focused, orderly learning environment and enforce the school's behaviour policy.
• Supervise pre-set work left by the absent teacher and ensure tasks are understood.
• Support and engage students to stay motivated and on task throughout the period.
• Accurately record attendance at the start of each lesson in the school's system.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety protocols to ensure a safe learning space.
• Provide handover notes detailing student progress for the returning teacher.
• Move between different subjects and year groups as required.
• Distribute and manage classroom resources and equipment fairly.

Core Responsibilities

• Safety & Safeguarding: Ensure a safe learning environment by adhering strictly to the academy's health, safety, and safeguarding protocols.
• Handover Reporting: Collect completed student work and write detailed handover notes for the returning classroom teacher.
• Adaptability: Move seamlessly between different subject areas and year groups throughout the school day as required.
• Resource Management: Ensure all classroom resources, textbooks, and equipment are distributed fairly and returned tidy.
• Inclusion Support: Provide tailored guidance to students who require extra assistance to access the pre-prepared lesson plan.
