Job summary

Brook Street is seeking a Court Administrator (AO) for Booking Validation on a temporary basis in Birkenhead. This on-site role supports hearings, manages bookings, and provides essential admin assistance in a busy County Court environment.

You will handle case files, communicate with users, follow procedures, and help ensure timely processing while maintaining data accuracy and confidentiality. The role offers 37 hours per week with pay £12.86/hour rising to £13.25/hour after 12 weeks, with DBS

Responsibilities

• Carry out administrative tasks to prepare for, facilitate, and conclude hearings
• Support users and stakeholders through face-to-face contact, telephone, and written correspondence
• Use service scripts and knowledge articles to signpost the right support and provide clear, consistent information
• Follow complaints policies and procedures, respond promptly to help prevent escalation and update records
• Process work using standard operating procedures to meet performance targets and maintain service standards
• Handle case files with accurate data entry and secure information management
• Support jury service tasks including selection, deferral, reassignment, attendance tracking and related expenses
• Assist with listing and scheduling, helping ensure urgent matters are managed efficiently
• Support enforcement procedures, including financial assessments and fine collection, and produce basic reports
• Contribute to health and safety operations under team leader guidance

• Pay: £12.86 per hour, increasing to £13.25 after 12 weeks
• 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
• Basic DBS required (Costs covered by the hiring process)

Our Client is hiring for a reputed client in Birkenhead County Court for an AO Temp Booking Validation role starting ASAP. This is an on-site position (5 days a week) where your day-to-day work directly supports smooth access to justice.

What you'll be doing:

• Carry out administrative tasks to prepare for, facilitate, and conclude hearings
• Support users and stakeholders through face-to-face contact, telephone (incoming/outbound), and written correspondence in a range of formats
• Use service scripts and knowledge articles to signpost the right support and provide clear, consistent information
• Follow complaints policies and procedures, responding promptly to help prevent escalation and updating records as required
• Process work using standard operating procedures to meet performance targets and maintain service standards
• Handle case files with accurate data entry and secure information management, complying with retention and data loss protocols
• Support jury service tasks including selection, deferral, reassignment, attendance tracking, and processing related expenses and court fees
• Assist with listing and scheduling, helping ensure urgent matters are managed and judicial time is used efficiently
• Support enforcement procedures, including financial assessments and fine collection, and produce basic statistical/financial reports
• Contribute to health and safety operations (e.g., facility checks, issue logging, and governance under team leader guidance)
