Job summary

Brook Street in Warrington is seeking an Admin Officer to be the calm, reliable first point of contact that helps people move through court services smoothly. This hands-on admin and customer service role supports day-to-day operations and helps deliver justice in and outside of hearings.

The position requires DBS clearance and offers a structured 37-hour week (9:00am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday) with occasional Saturday or Bank Holiday work as court requirements arise.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing court requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for users face-to-face, by phone, chat and email.
  • Prepare for and conclude hearing-related administrative tasks.
  • Provide clear guidance and signposting using scripts and materials.
  • Manage enquiries and resolve issues to prevent delays, escalating when needed.
  • Handle case files with accurate data entry and secure information handling.
  • Support listing and scheduling, coordinating diary and admin tasks.
  • Manage jury service admin tasks including selection, deferral and attendance tracking.
  • Assist with enforcement activities including financial assessments and basic reports.
  • Contribute to health and safety processes and respond to issues.
