Job summary

The Best Connection Group is hiring an experienced Van Driver to join our client DHL Express at East Midlands Airport. You will operate vans, handle deliveries and collections, and work in an airport environment with strict security procedures.

Expect early starts from 04:00 to 06:00, Monday to Friday, with ongoing work and weekly pay. We provide full training, pension provisions, and access to Perks at Work.

Qualifications

• Airport environment awareness and compliance.
• Pass a van driving assessment (no minimum experience).

Responsibilities

• Drive vans to/from East Midlands Airport.
• Perform pre/post vehicle checks and report issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery/collection records.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery and collection points.
• Follow all airport security procedures.

What We Offer:

• Great Pay: £16.17/hr
• Overtime at £24.26/hr after 40 hours worked

Responsibilities:

• Driving vans to and from East Midlands Airport
• Performing pre/post vehicle checks and reporting any problems
• Maintaining accurate records and proof of delivery or collection
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery and collection points
• Following all airport security procedures

Requirements:

• As we work at an airport regulated by the Civil Aviation Authority, all applicants must:
• Pass a van driving assessment (no minimum years of experience needed)
• Complete a criminal record check (paid for by us)
• Have a 5-year work history that can be checked (gaps over 28 days need a gap reference)
• Provide a 5-year address history
• Have valid photo ID (passport, driving licence or ID card)

Licence/Certification:

• Full UK Driving Licence, Category B Licence
• A current Aviation Security certificate (formerly Level D), or willingness to complete the course during vetting (paid for by us)

If you're an experienced Van Driver seeking seasonal work, with usually up to 70 drops per day.
