Job summary

The Best Connection Group are seeking an experienced Van Driver to join our well-established client, DHL Express, at their Glasgow site for the busy seasonal period from November through to Christmas.

You will drive vans, perform safety checks, and provide excellent service at delivery points while meeting security and vetting requirements such as a van driving assessment, criminal record check, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Pass a van driving assessment (no minimum years of experience)
• Complete a criminal record check (paid for by us)
• Provide a 5-year work history and 5-year address history
• Have valid photo ID (passport, driving licence or ID card)
• Aviation Security certificate or willingness to complete during vetting (paid for by us)

Responsibilities

• Drive vans to and from locations
• Perform pre/post vehicle checks and report issues
• Maintain accurate proof of delivery/collection records
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery and collection points
• Follow all airport security procedures

Van Driver

The Best Connection Group are seeking an experienced Van Driver to join our well-established client, DHL Express, at their site based at Glasgow for the busy seasonal period from November through to Christmas.

What We Offer:

• Great Pay: £14.73 per hour standard and then £15.95 per hour on a Saturday and £17 on a Sunday.
• Overtime at £22.10 per hour after 40 hours worked
• Usually 60/90 drops or collections per shift
• Working 5 days over 7

Responsibilities:

• Driving vans to and from locations
• Performing pre/post vehicle checks and reporting any problems
• Maintaining accurate records and proof of delivery or collection
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery and collection points
• Following all airport security procedures

Requirements:

As we work at an airport regulated by the Civil Aviation Authority, all applicants must:

• Pass a van driving assessment (no minimum years of experience needed)
• Complete a criminal record check (paid for by us)
• Have a 5-year work history that can be checked (gaps over 28 days need a gap reference)
• Provide a 5-year address history
• Have valid photo ID (passport, driving licence or ID card)

Licence/Certification:

• Full UK Driving Licence
• A current Aviation Security certificate (formerly Level D), or willingness to complete the course during vetting (paid for by us)
