Job summary

The Best Connection Group are seeking an experienced Van Driver to join DHL Express at Hoyland Depot, near Barnsley for the busy seasonal period from November through Christmas. You will drive vans, perform pre/post-vehicle checks and deliver excellent customer service at delivery points.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, starting around 07:30, with typically around 70 stops per shift. Earn £14.73 per hour with overtime at £22.10 after 45 hours and weekly pay; a pension is provided and full training

Qualifications

• Pass a van driving assessment (no minimum years of experience).
• Provide a criminal record check (paid for by us).
• Have a 5-year work history that can be checked (gaps over 28 days require a reference).
• Provide a 5-year address history and valid photo ID.

Responsibilities

• Driving vans to and from Hoyland Depot.
• Performing pre/post vehicle checks and reporting problems.
• Maintaining accurate records and proof of delivery/collection.
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery/collection points.
• Following all airport security procedures.

• Following all airport security procedures

As we work at an airport regulated by the Civil Aviation Authority, all applicants must:

• Pass a van driving assessment (no minimum years of experience needed)
• Complete a criminal record check (paid for by us)
• Have a 5-year work history that can be checked (gaps over 28 days need a gap reference)
• Provide a 5-year address history
• Have valid photo ID (passport, driving licence or ID card)

Licence/Certification:

• Full UK Driving Licence, Category B (required)
• A current Aviation Security certificate (formerly Level D), or willingness to complete the course during vetting (paid for by us)
