Job summary

The Best Connection Group is seeking an experienced Van Driver to join DHL Express at their Howden site for the busy seasonal period from November through to Christmas. The role offers excellent pay and regular weekly pay, with full training and pension provisions.

Responsibilities include driving vans, performing vehicle checks, keeping accurate delivery records, and delivering excellent customer service at each stop while adhering to airport security requirements.

Qualifications

• Pass van driving assessment (no minimum years of experience).
• Criminal record check provided by employer.
• 5-year work history and 5-year address history verified.
• Valid photo ID (passport, driving licence or ID card) required.

Responsibilities

• Drive vans to and from Howden Depot.
• Perform pre/post vehicle checks and report issues.
• Maintain records and proof of delivery/collection.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery/collection points.
• Follow all airport security procedures.

Van Driver

The Best Connection Group are seeking an experienced Van Driver to join our well-established client, DHL Express, at their site based at Howden for the busy seasonal period from November through to Christmas.

• Overtime at £ 22.10 after 45 hours worked
• Usually 80 to 100 stops per shift
• Monday to Friday days 07.30 starts

Responsibilities:

• Driving vans to and from Howden Depot
• Performing pre/post vehicle checks and reporting any problems
• Maintaining accurate records and proof of delivery or collection
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery and collection points
• Following all airport security procedures

Requirements:

As we work at an airport regulated by the Civil Aviation Authority, all applicants must:

• Pass a van driving assessment (no minimum years of experience needed)
• Complete a criminal record check (paid for by us)
• Have a 5-year work history that can be checked (gaps over 28 days need a gap reference)
• Provide a 5-year address history
• Have valid photo ID (passport, driving licence or ID card)

Licence/Certification:

• Full UK Driving Licence, Category B (required)
• A current Aviation Security certificate (formerly Level D), or willingness to complete the course during vetting (paid for by us)
