Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting an experienced Van Driver to work with DHL Express at East Midlands Airport. Core shifts start early (04:00–06:00) with pay at £16.17 per hour and overtime after 40 hours at £24.26 per hour.

Role involves delivering up to 70 drops per shift, maintaining vehicle checks, and ensuring security procedures are followed. Weekly pay and pension are included with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Pass a van driving assessment (no minimum years of experience).
• Criminal record check will be paid for by us.
• 5-year work history with references for gaps >28 days.
• Provide a 5-year address history.
• Have valid photo ID (passport, driving licence or ID card).

Responsibilities

• Driving vans to and from East Midlands Airport.
• Performing pre/post vehicle checks and reporting issues.
• Maintaining records and proof of delivery/collection.
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery/collection points.
• Following all airport security procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Driving vans to and from East Midlands Airport
• Performing pre/post vehicle checks and reporting any problems
• Maintaining accurate records and proof of delivery or collection
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery and collection points
• Following all airport security procedures

Requirements:

• As we work at an airport regulated by the Civil Aviation Authority, all applicants must:
• Pass a van driving assessment (no minimum years of experience needed)
• Complete a criminal record check (paid for by us)
• Have a 5-year work history that can be checked (gaps over 28 days need a gap reference)
• Provide a 5-year address history
• Have valid photo ID (passport, driving licence or ID card)

Licence/Certification:

• Full UK Driving Licence, Category B Licence
• A current Aviation Security certificate (formerly Level D), or willingness to complete the course during vetting (paid for by us)
