Job summary

Rachel Hill Resourcing in Leighton Buzzard is seeking a reliable warehouse worker to operate a Counterbalance forklift and support goods-in/out during a busy Christmas period.

You will load/unload, move stock, ensure health and safety, and keep a tidy, safe environment. The role is a temporary 3-month contract with shifts from 7am–7pm or 10am–7pm, paid at £14.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Counterbalance FLT licence/certificate.
• Previous Counterbalance FLT experience.
• Previous warehouse, yard or logistics experience preferred.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to the full temporary assignment.
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a busy warehouse/yard environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift safely.
• Load and unload vehicles.
• Move and store stock around warehouse/yard.
• Support goods-in/out operations.
• Load pallets and prepare goods for dispatch.
• Follow site health and safety procedures.
• Carry out basic FLT checks and report issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Support the wider warehouse team during the busy season.

Salary: £14.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Moving and storing stock and materials around the warehouse/yard.
• Supporting goods-in and goods-out operations.
• Loading pallets and preparing goods for dispatch.
• Following all site health & safety procedures.
• Carrying out basic checks on the FLT and reporting any issues.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Supporting the wider warehouse team during the busy seasonal period.

Requirements
