Job summary

Driver Hire in Sandbach seeks an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a fabrication specialist team. You will operate an FLT Counterbalance both indoors and in the yard, move stock, assist with loading/unloading and support general warehouse duties.

This 12-week temporary-to-permanent role offers £14.30 per hour and consistent weekday hours (Mon-Thu 06:00–14:00, Fri 06:00–12:00). A permanent position may be offered to the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT Counterbalance licence required.
• Experience operating FLT in warehouse or industrial setting.

Responsibilities

The Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-established client, a fabrication specialist based in Sandbach, Cheshire, for an experienced and reliable FLT Counterbalance Driver to join their team.

This is a 12-week temporary-to-permanent opportunity, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating an FLT Counterbalance truck both inside and outside the warehouse, moving stock around the site and assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles. The role will also involve general warehouse operative duties, stock control, itemising stock and categorising materials around the site.

Hours of Work

• Monday to Thursday: 06:00–14:00
• Friday: 06:00–12:00

Key Responsibilities

• Operating an FLT Counterbalance truck safely and efficiently.
• Moving stock and materials around the warehouse and external yard.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Itemising, sorting and categorising stock across the site.
• Assisting with stock control and maintaining accurate stock records.
• Carrying out general warehouse operative duties as required.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• A valid FLT Counterbalance licence is essential.
• Previous experience operating an FLT in a warehouse or industrial environment.
• Good attention to detail when handling, identifying and categorising stock.
• A flexible, hands-on approach to warehouse work.
• A positive, reliable and hardworking attitude.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
