Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the UK seeks a Cost Engineering Director to lead high‑quality cost engineering and cost management across complex capital programmes. This senior role focuses on delivering robust cost control, governance and performance reporting for major energy, infrastructure and natural resources projects.

You will drive CBS, cost baselines, forecasts and risk analysis while providing strategic cost insights to clients and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Cost Engineering, Cost Management, Estimating and Project Controls.
• Proven leadership of cost management teams on large infrastructure and capital programmes.
• Ability to integrate cost with schedule, risk, scope and commercial management.
• Knowledge of cost baselines, estimation processes, forecasting and performance measures.
• Experience advising senior stakeholders on cost performance and investment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering cost engineering, estimating, forecasting and cost management.
• Develop and implement cost management strategies, governance and CBS frameworks.
• Maintain cost baselines, control budgets, and performance measurement systems.
• Prepare and assure estimates throughout the project lifecycle with independent reviews.
• Drive robust forecasting, trend management and earned value reporting.
• Provide strategic cost insights to clients and support investment decisions.
• Ensure alignment between cost, schedule, risk, scope and commercial management.
• Lead cost assurance, governance and reporting for executive decisions.
• Collaborate with project, commercial and supply chain teams on cost requirements.
