Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Associate Director of Cost Engineering within the Energy & Natural Resources sector. You will lead cost engineering, estimation and project controls for major UK capital programmes, delivering robust cost management and governance across portfolios.

You will drive best-practice solutions, supervise CBS baselines, forecasts and performance reporting while mentoring teams and supporting business development within a national context.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Cost Engineering, Cost Management, Cost Estimating and Project Controls within large-scale capital programmes and projects.
• Proven track record of leading cost management teams and delivering cost engineering services across major infrastructure, energy, natural resources or industrial developments.
• Strong understanding of integration of cost, schedule, risk, scope and commercial management disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of best-practice cost engineering solutions across projects, programmes and portfolios.
• Establish CBS, budgets, baselines and performance measurement frameworks.
• Oversee estimates, benchmarking, challenge sessions and independent reviews.
• Drive forecasting, trend management, change control and earned value reporting.
• Provide strategic cost and commercial insight to clients and project teams.
• Lead cost assurance, governance and reporting to support investment decisions.
• Coach and mentor cost engineering professionals and ensure quality of deliverables.
