Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the United Kingdom is seeking a Cost Engineer to join our Energy Infrastructure Projects team, delivering robust cost controls across multiple packages and complex programmes.

You will develop CBS/WBS structures, align budgets with work packages and manage accruals, forecasts and cost reporting to drive informed management decisions.

A strong background in EVM and project controls is essential; BPSS clearance and professional body membership are desirable.

Qualifications

• Professional Project Controls experience specialising in Cost Engineering/Control across the project lifecycle.
• Detailed understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), progress reporting, forecasting and performance reporting and analysis.
• Ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and lead cost control activities.

Responsibilities

• Tailoring Cost Control approaches to meet the client’s needs and aligning with best practice.
• Implementing, administering, and maintaining cost control systems and procedures to track project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.
• Working with the Integrated Project Team to establish a robust PMB and support the change control process.
• Development of CBS and WBS alignment to track and control costs.
• Map and integrate cost estimates to the Work Breakdown Structure to set budgets.
• Lead accruals production to reflect Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP).
• Support change processes with cost information for change notes and forecasts.
