Job summary

GerrardWhite seeks a Corporate Solicitor to join its Bristol team, handling a varied caseload of transactional and advisory corporate matters. This is an opportunity to build a broad corporate practice within a well-regarded team, with early client contact and responsibility.

The ideal candidate is a qualified solicitor with 2–6 years' PQE in corporate law, possessing strong drafting and analytical skills and a client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 2–6 years' PQE in corporate law.
• Strong drafting and analytical skills with transactional experience.
• Excellent client-facing manner and ability to manage varied, fee-earning caseload with minimal supervision.
• Commercially aware with interest in business development.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collegiate environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist on company sales and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and shareholder agreements.
• Support due diligence exercises and drafting/reviewing corporate documentation.
• Advise SME and owner-managed businesses on general corporate governance matters.
• Advise on private equity and venture capital investments, including fundraising rounds and investment agreements.
• Draft and negotiate shareholder, joint venture and partnership agreements.
• Support management buyouts, buy-ins and other corporate finance transactions.
• Advise on group reorganisations, demergers and simplification projects.
• Assist with employee incentive schemes and share option arrangements.
• Liaise with accountants, tax advisers and other professionals to deliver joined-up advice on complex transactions.

We are seeking a Corporate Solicitor to join our Bristol team, working on a varied caseload of transactional and advisory corporate matters. Key Responsibilities

• Assisting on company sales and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and shareholder agreements
• Supporting due diligence exercises and drafting/reviewing corporate documentation
• Advising SME and owner-managed business clients on general corporate governance matters
• Advising on private equity and venture capital investments, including fundraising rounds and investment agreements
• Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements, including shareholder, joint venture and partnership agreements
