Job summary

News UK is seeking an experienced Corporate Reporting professional to deliver quarterly US GAAP and monthly group submissions, manage complex consolidation tasks, and oversee technical accounting for ASC606/ASC842. You will lead intercompany reconciliations, support audits, and drive process improvements with automation and technology.

The role requires CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualification, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently while supervising offshore team members.

Qualifications

• Must be qualified in CIMA/ACA/ACCA.
• Experience in financial statements and consolidations.
• Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly US GAAP and monthly reporting submissions for News UK and subsidiaries.
• Support consolidation for the News UK group and maintain stakeholder relationships to meet deadlines.
• Respond to ad hoc reporting queries and audit requests.
• Oversee technical accounting adjustments under US GAAP (ASC606/ASC842).
• Ensure intercompany balances align with global balances and reporting.
• Support audit processes and respond to audit questions in a timely manner.
• Assist in process improvements and leveraging automation/AI in reporting.
