Job summary

News UK in Peterborough is seeking a Corporate Reporting Accountant on a 14-month FTC to lead UK sub-consolidation and US GAAP reporting. You will drive technical accounting, support audit queries, and partner with offshore teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly and quarterly submissions.

The role offers exposure to Onestream, TM1, and evolving reporting technologies. You'll work closely with Finance and achieve high-quality financial statements, ensuring compliance with UK/US GAAP

Qualifications

• CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified
• Experience in financial statements and consolidations
• Highly proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Supervise and assist the offshore team

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly USGAAP and monthly reporting for News UK and subsidiaries using Onestream and TM1.
• Assist consolidation for News UK group and manage stakeholder deadlines.
• Respond to ad hoc reporting queries and tasks.
• Oversee technical accounting adjustments (ASC606/ASC842) using US systems.
• Ensure intercompany balances and transactions align with global balances.
• Own audit requests related to US group reporting deadlines and processes.
• Implement mapping for quarterly reporting to minimise manual adjustments.
