Job summary

News UK is seeking a qualified corporate reporting professional to join the team responsible for quarterly US GAAP reporting and monthly consolidation submissions for News UK and its subsidiaries. You will prepare balance sheet analyses, manage complex consolidations, and support audits with UK and US GAAP knowledge.

You will liaise with the group and external auditors, drive process improvements, and implement mapping for quarterly reporting to minimise manual adjustments.

Qualifications

• Experience with financial statements and consolidations.
• Ability to manage US GAAP adjustments (ASC606/ASC842).
• Strong analytical skills and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare balance sheet analysis and consolidation adjustments for UK sub-consolidation team.
• Assist with group consolidation and meet reporting deadlines.
• Respond to ad hoc reporting queries and tasks.
• Oversee technical accounting for US GAAP adjustments using US systems.
• Ensure intercompany balances reconcile with global balances.
