Job summary

Law Staff is seeking a Conveyancing Solicitor in the Hove area to manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload within a busy Property Department. The role is based in Hove, Brighton, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality client care and practical legal advice.

You should be a Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with a minimum of 5 years PQE in residential conveyancing, capable of handling a high-volume workload and meeting regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with specialised conveyancing experience.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritise a busy residential caseload.
• Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing procedures and property law.

Responsibilities

• Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
• Handling remortgages, transfers of equity, new build properties and Right to Buy matters.
• Providing clear and practical legal advice to clients.
• Liaising with estate agents, mortgage lenders, solicitors and other third parties.
• Drafting and reviewing contracts and related documentation.
• Maintaining accurate file records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Conveyancing Solicitor — Position Overview:

• Manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
• Work in a fast-paced environment delivering a high standard of client care
• Provide clear and practical legal advice to clients
• Contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the department
• Exposure to a high volume of high-quality conveyancing work

Key Responsibilities of the Conveyancing Solicitor:

• Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases

• Providing clear and practical legal advice to clients

Requirements of the Conveyancing Solicitor:

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
• Minimum 5 years' PQE in residential conveyancing (candidates with more or less experience demonstrating the required skills will be considered)
• The ability to manage a busy caseload independently
• Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing procedures and property law
• Excellent client care, communication and organisational skills
• Proactive, commercially aware and able to work effectively under pressure, with case management system experience desirable
