Job summary

Law Staff, a well-established law firm in East London, is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor to join its busy Property Department. You will manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion, delivering high standards of client care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a qualified solicitor with at least 2 years' PQE in residential conveyancing, strong technical knowledge, and excellent organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
• Minimum 2 years' PQE in residential conveyancing.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
• Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing procedures and property law.
• Excellent client care, communication and organisational skills.
• Experience using case management systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions.
• Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
• Provide clear and practical legal advice to clients.
• Liaise with estate agents, mortgage lenders, solicitors and third parties.
• Draft and review contracts and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate file records and regulatory compliance.
• Support growth and success of the department.

About this Conveyancing Solicitor role:

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion. You will work in a fast-paced environment and be expected to deliver a high standard of client care while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities for this Conveyancing Solicitor role:

• Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including:
  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Remortgages
  • Transfers of equity
  • New build properties
  • Right to Buy matters
• Providing clear and practical legal advice to clients.
• Liaising with estate agents, mortgage lenders, solicitors and other third parties.
• Drafting and reviewing contracts and related documentation.
• Maintaining accurate file records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Contributing to the ongoing growth and success of the department

Requirements for this Conveyancing Solicitor role:

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.
• Minimum 2 years' PQE in residential conveyancing (although candidates with more or less experience demonstrating the required skills will be considered).
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
• Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing procedures and property law.
• Excellent client care, communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive, commercially aware and able to work effectively under pressure.
• Experience using case management systems is desirable.
