Job summary

Law Staff Ltd invites a Conveyancing Solicitor to join a well-established team handling a varied residential conveyancing caseload. Based in Hove, Brighton, you will manage instructions through to completion in a busy Property Department across London and Brighton.

The role requires a qualified solicitor with a minimum of five years PQE in residential conveyancing and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent client care and regulatory compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.
• Minimum 5 years' PQE in residential conveyancing.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently.

Responsibilities

• Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
• Handling remortgages, transfers of equity, new build properties and Right to Buy matters.
• Providing clear and practical legal advice to clients.
• Liaising with estate agents, mortgage lenders, solicitors and other third parties.
• Drafting and reviewing contracts and related documentation.
• Maintaining accurate file records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Conveyancing Solicitor — Position Overview

• Manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
• Work in a fast-paced environment delivering a high standard of client care
• Provide clear and practical legal advice to clients
• Contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the department
• Exposure to a high volume of high-quality conveyancing work

Key Responsibilities of the Conveyancing Solicitor

• Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases

Requirements of the Conveyancing Solicitor

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
• Minimum 5 years' PQE in residential conveyancing (candidates with more or less experience demonstrating the required skills will be considered)
• The ability to manage a busy caseload independently
• Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing procedures and property law
• Excellent client care, communication and organisational skills
• Proactive, commercially aware and able to work effectively under pressure, with case management system experience desirable
