Job summary

Law Staff Legal Recruitment is seeking a Conveyancing Solicitor for our busy Property Department based in Hove, Brighton. You will manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion and provide clear, practical legal advice to clients.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' PQE in residential conveyancing, excellent client care and strong organisational skills, and thrive in a busy firm offering career progression and professional

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.
• Minimum 5 years' PQE in residential conveyancing.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
• Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing procedures and property law.
• Excellent client care, communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive, commercially aware and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions.
• Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
• Assist with remortgages, transfers of equity, new build properties and RTB.
• Draft and review contracts and related documentation.
• Liaise with estate agents, mortgage lenders, solicitors and third parties.
• Maintain accurate file records and ensure regulatory compliance.

Conveyancing Solicitor — Position Overview:

• Manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
• Work in a fast-paced environment delivering a high standard of client care
• Provide clear and practical legal advice to clients
• Contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the department
• Exposure to a high volume of high-quality conveyancing work

Key Responsibilities of the Conveyancing Solicitor:

• Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
• Handling remortgages, transfers of equity, new build properties and Right to Buy matters
• Providing clear and practical legal advice to clients
• Liaising with estate agents, mortgage lenders, solicitors and other third parties
• Drafting and reviewing contracts and related documentation
• Maintaining accurate file records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements of the Conveyancing Solicitor:

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
• Minimum 5 years' PQE in residential conveyancing (candidates with more or less experience demonstrating the required skills will be considered)
• The ability to manage a busy caseload independently
• Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing procedures and property law
• Excellent client care, communication and organisational skills
• Proactive, commercially aware and able to work effectively under pressure, with case management system experience desirable
