Job summary

Law Staff Legal Recruitment client in central Birmingham seeks a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer for a Post-Exchange Conveyancing team. Hybrid working, private healthcare and life assurance are among benefits.

You will handle high-volume post-exchange transactions from contract to completion and beyond to registration. Ideal candidates have 2+ years PQE and strong MS Office skills, with a client-focused approach and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• At least two years PQE as Solicitor, CILEx Lawyer or Licensed Conveyancer in the UK.
• Experience in post-completion registrations and matters in volume.
• Experience supervising a team of paralegals.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Client-focused with an approachable manner.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and prioritise workload.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and approve transfer deeds and leases.
• Prepare for execution and completion of transactions.
• Review replies to pre-completion requisitions.
• Submit and review searches.
• Prepare SDLT returns and arrange payment.
• Prepare AP1 applications.
• Provide regular progress updates to the partner lead.
• Train and develop junior team members.
• Provide the team with progress reports.
• Review post-exchange and post-completion processes.

Our client based in central Birmingham,recognised within the Legal 500 are seeking to add a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer to work in our clients Post-Exchange team. The successful candidate will playa vital within the team, dealing with a significant number of transactions from the point of exchange of contracts to completion and beyond to registration.

Responsibilities for this Conveyancing Solicitor vacancy:

• Prepare and approve transfer deed and leases
• Prepare for the execution and completion
• Review replies to pre-completion requisitions
• Submit and review searches
• Preparing SDLT returns and arranging payment
• Prepare AP1 applications
• Provide regular updated reporting to the partner lead
• Take an active role and responsibility in training and developing more junior members of the team
• Provide the team with progress reports
• Review post exchange and post completion processes

Person Specification for this Conveyancing Solicitor vacancy:
