Job summary

Law Staff Ltd is seeking a Conveyancing Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer to join the Post-Exchange team in a hybrid working setup. You will handle a high volume of post-exchange transactions from contract exchange through to registration, with a minimum of 2 years PQE in the UK.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years PQE as Solicitor, CILEx Lawyer or Licensed Conveyancer in the UK.
• Experience handling Post Completion registrations in volume.
• Experience supervising a team of paralegals.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Client-focused with strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and prioritise workload.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and approve transfer deeds and leases.
• Prepare for execution and completion of transactions.
• Review replies to pre-completion requisitions.
• Submit and review searches.
• Prepare SDLT returns and arrange payment.
• Prepare AP1 applications.
• Provide regular progress reports to the partner lead.
• Train and develop junior team members.
• Review post-exchange and post-completion processes.

Our client based in central Birmingham,recognised within the Legal 500 are seeking to add a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer to work in our clients Post-Exchange team. You will havea minimumof 2years + experience.Hybrid working, private healthcare and life assurance are some of the many benefits on offer.

The successful candidate will playa vital within the team, dealing with a significant number of transactions from the point of exchange of contracts to completion and beyond to registration.

Responsibilities for this Conveyancing Solicitor vacancy:

• Prepare and approve transfer deed and leases
• Prepare for the execution and completion
• Review replies to pre-completion requisitions
• Submit and review searches
• Preparing SDLT returns and arranging payment
• Prepare AP1 applications
• Provide regular updated reporting to the partner lead
• Take an active role and responsibility in training and developing more junior members of the team
• Provide the team with progress reports
• Review post exchange and post completion processes

Person Specification for this Conveyancing Solicitor vacancy:

• At least two year's PQE as a Solicitor, CILEx Lawyer or Licensed Conveyancer in the UK
• Experience in dealing with Post Completion registrations and matters in volume.
• Experience of supervising a team of paralegals.
• Competent in all MS applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Able to be client focused and have an approachable manner
• Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Able to work with limited supervision with the ability to prioritise workload to increase efficiency.
