Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking an organised Control Room Operator to join our security team. You will monitor CCTV, intruder and fire alarm panels, and assist with daily operational requirements while ensuring accurate incident recording and reporting.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of Private Security Industry law, Health and Safety, Fire Safety, and Emergency Procedures. A valid CCTV License and a 5-year verifiable education or work history with references are required.

Job description

We are looking for an organised, efficient, and experienced Control Room Operator to join our security team for Mitie Business Services. You will be working within a supportive team to maintain and monitor CCTV, intruder, and fire alarm panels.

Your key responsibilities will include assisting with daily operational requirements – ensuring compliance and accurate recording of incidents to outline identified risks. As part of your role, you will be required to elevate incidents, report Health and Safety concerns, and respond to emergency situations also producing accurate reports to ensure alarms are efficiently responded to.

Our ideal candidate will have awareness of the law across, The Private Security Industry, Health and Safety for the Private Security Operative, Fire Safety, Technology and Systems in the Security environment and Emergency Procedures.

If you have prior control room or security experience, a passion for delivering excellent customer service and a desire to excel, Please note: You MUST hold a valid CCTV License and have a 5-year verifiable education or work history with references.

The position requires you to work a mixture of nights and days and it will be 12 hour shifts.
