Job summary

University of Lancashire is seeking a Control Room Operator to monitor CCTV and security systems across campuses and respond to enquiries and incidents with calm, clear guidance.

You'll work a rotating pattern of 2 x 12-hour days and 2 x 12-hour nights, with rest days, and collaborate with campus officers to keep everyone safe and supported. GCSEs including English and Maths are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in security or related environments is welcome.
• Ability to work in a customer focused environment and follow procedures meticulously.
• Sound judgement and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage CCTV and security systems; respond to enquiries and incidents with clear guidance.
• Liaise with officers across sites to share information accurately and record it properly.
• Follow rotating shift pattern including 2x12-hour days and 2x12-hour nights with rest days.
