Job summary

MAN Commercial Protection is seeking a Security Officer to join our Control room and Mobile Response team at Head Office in Solihull.

Shift pattern: Days, Nights and Weekends; 06:30-18:30 / 18:30-06:30. The ideal candidate will hold SIA DS and CCTV licences, have experience with rostering/time systems, strong communication and IT skills, and a 5-year checkable history. Full training provided, free parking, and additional benefits available.

Qualifications

• Experience in the security industry is advantageous but not essential.
• Call centre / Helpdesk experience advantageous.
• Experience using a time and attendance or workforce management system.
• MS Office, Excel and Outlook knowledge is beneficial.
• Telephone handling experience is essential.
• Experience with Timegate or similar roster management software preferred.
• SIA DS and CCTV Licence are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of calls from colleagues and customers, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
• Report writing and completing incident forms.
• Rostering and scheduling, communicating with site leaders and implementing changes.
• Escalate health & safety or HR issues as required.
• Coordinate with contract managers on workplace issues and inquiries.
• Adhere to patrol schedules and unlock/lock procedures.
• Respond to intruder alarms and liaise with police and control room.

MAN Commercial Protection are looking for a Security officer to join our Control room and Mobile Response team at Head Office.

Shift pattern: Days, Nights and Weekends.

Shift timings will be: 06:30-18:30 / 18:30-06:30.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage a high volume of calls from colleagues and customers, ensuring issues are resolved in a prompt/efficient manner
• Report writing/completing incident forms
• Rostering/ scheduling, regularly communicating with site leaders and making required changes and updates
• Ensure any health & safety or HR issues are escalated accordingly
• Problem solving by liaising with contract managers regarding workplace issues, activity reports, complaints, and queries.
• Comply with Mobile Patrol Unlocks/ Locks and Patrol schedules
• Respond to intruder alarms as appropriate; inspect for signs of break-in and liaise with police and emergency services and Man Commercial Protection control

• Have experience of a workforce management system
• Have a genuine desire to help push the business forward, looking at ways to continuously improve processes
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be able to work within a team as well as on their own and unsupervised
• Possess excellent communication and IT systems skills
• Can work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
• Have good time management skills
• Be able to work shift patterns and provide flexibility, where required
