Job summary

JT Recruit Ltd on behalf of a client in Rugby seeks a friendly Control Centre Operator for its Sheltered Housing Team to provide a sensitive, responsive service to residents and callers.

You will respond to emergency calls, keep accurate records of residents and equipment, and assist with on-site emergency responses when needed. A full UK driving licence is required; role is Monday to Friday 9am–5pm, initially until 18 December 2026.

Qualifications

• Must be customer-service oriented and able to handle sensitive information.
• Ability to respond to calls in line with policy and procedure.
• Full UK driving licence required for on-site emergencies.

Job description

My client is seeking an enthusiastic and customer service focused Control Centre Operator to join their Sheltered Housing Team to provide a dedicated, sensitive and responsive service to all customers who are connected or approach the Control Centre.

Main duties are

• To respond to calls connected to the Control Centre and take the appropriate action to resolve them in line with policy and procedure, for example this might be to call an ambulance, book an emergency visit or activate the Emergency Plan should this need arise.
• You will be expected to maintain and keep up to date accurate records of all residents, calls, incidents and equipment connected with Control Centre.

This role does require a full UK driving licence to be able to respond to emergencies in person and assist with equipment installation/repair.

The Control Centre Operator also will call out to clients ensuring information is up to date, taking calls from prospective new clients and programming equipment for installation and upgrade.
