Job summary

Charnwood Borough Council is seeking a dedicated Contracts Officer to supervise contractors and manage workflows to support waste, recycling and street cleansing services. The role requires environmental management qualifications and a proactive, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in waste management and contract monitoring.
• Relevant qualifications in environmental management.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor relevant contractors in accordance with local and key performance indicators.
• Effectively manage workloads and enquiries via the Council's CRM system.
• Provide advice and guidance to residents on waste, recycling and street cleansing.
• Deliver excellent customer service to resolve enquiries efficiently.
