Job summary

Charnwood Borough Council is seeking a dedicated Commercial Waste Services Officer to join the Contracts (Leisure, Waste and Environment) service. The role focuses on retaining clients, identifying growth opportunities, and maximising income across commercial waste streams.

You will act as the primary point of contact for local businesses and stakeholders, with responsibilities including budget monitoring, compliance with waste regulations, and coordinating garden and bulky waste collections

Qualifications

• A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Strong commercial mindset focused on meeting targets and income growth.
• Understanding of environmental legislation and Duty of Care.
• Excellent relationship-building with diverse business stakeholders.
• Organisational skills to plan year-round service delivery.
• Experience in waste management or environmental services preferred.
