Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer for a 3-month project in the UK. You will handle a full product life cycle, from concept to documentation, using SolidWorks or Inventor for detailed 3D CAD designs and development. Immediate start preferred, experience on instrumentation or bespoke machinery is ideal.

The role requires strong CAD skills and a hands-on approach to design and documentation to support the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical design experience within a fast-paced development environment.
• Experience working on instrumentation or complex bespoke equipment/machinery.
• 3D CAD using SolidWorks or Inventor.
• Full Product Life-cycle Design Experience.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Mechanical Design of New Product Development (complete product life cycle).
• Undertake detailed designs using 3D CAD (SolidWorks or Inventor).
• Concept Generation.
• Produce Documentation to support Development.
