Job summary

Synergi Search & Select Ltd in Leicester is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer on a contract basis to support a leading manufacturing site with FMCG experience.

You will react to breakdowns, fault find and work on projects to improve equipment performance, including PLC fault finding and automation focus, while ensuring safe working practices and clear communication with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A formal qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering (apprentice served, NVQ, HNC or equivalent).
• Strong electrical experience in FMCG environments.
• Knowledge/experience of working with controls and fault analysis.
• Experience of both reactive and preventative maintenance.
• Strong automation hardware/software technical ability.
• Good organisational and communication skills; able to work in a multi-disciplined team.

Responsibilities

• React to breakdowns electrically and mechanically, fault finding and improving the site.
• Work with other departments to improve site performance.
• Attend meetings, analyse data and propose solutions to equipment performance and safety.
• Be involved in projects to develop engineering install and commissioning.
• PLC fault finding.

My Client is a leading manufacturing site looking for Electrical maintenance engineer with FMCG experience to join on both an ongoing basis.

Duties as a Electrical maintenance engineer:

• Reacting to breakdowns both electrically and mechanically, fault finding, analysing and continuously improving the site.
• Work closely with other departments to improve the site.
• Attend meetings as required, analyse data and find solutions to improve equipment performance whilst ensuring safe working practice and full communications are maintained at all times.
• In addition, you will be involved in projects within the business to develop an effective engineering install and commissioning.
• PLC fault finding

Requirements as a Electrical maintenance engineer:

• A formal qualification in an electrical or mechanical engineering subject (apprentice served, NVQ, HNC or equivalent)
• Strong electrical experience preferable within a FMCG environment.
• Knowledge / experience of working with controls, analysing faults and providing solutions.
• Experience of both reactive and preventative maintenance
• Good technical ability relating to automation hardware and software.
• Strong organisation and communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplined team of varying levels of technical experience.
