Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a contract position in Leicester. The role covers both electrical and mechanical breakdown responses, fault finding and data-driven improvements to equipment performance.

You will collaborate across departments, participate in projects for installs and commissioning, and work with automation hardware and controls to ensure safe, reliable operation in a fast-moving FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Formal electrical or mechanical engineering qualification is required.
• Experience fault finding and fault diagnosis in electrical systems.
• Knowledge of automation hardware and software is essential.

Responsibilities

• React to breakdowns electrically and mechanically and fault-find.

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Duration: Ongoing

Rate: £36+ per hour outside of IR35

Duties as a Electrical maintenance engineer:

• Reacting to breakdowns both electrically and mechanically, fault finding, analysing and continuously improving the site.
• Work closely with other departments to improve the site.
• Attend meetings as required, analyse data and find solutions to improve equipment performance whilst ensuring safe working practice and full communications are maintained at all times.
• In addition, you will be involved in projects within the business to develop an effective engineering install and commissioning.
• PLC fault finding

Requirements as a Electrical maintenance engineer:

• A formal qualification in an electrical or mechanical engineering subject (apprentice served, NVQ, HNC or equivalent)
• Strong electrical experience preferable within a FMCG environment.
• Knowledge / experience of working with controls, analysing faults and providing solutions.
• Experience of both reactive and preventative maintenance
• Good technical ability relating to automation hardware and software.
• Strong organisation and communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplined team of varying levels of technical experience.
