Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a Leicester-based contract role at a leading manufacturing site. You will respond to breakdowns, perform fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role involves PLC fault finding, project work for equipment installation and commissioning, and coordinating with other departments while maintaining safe working practices.

Qualifications

• A formal qualification in an electrical or mechanical engineering subject (apprentice served, NVQ, HNC or equivalent).
• Strong electrical experience preferably within a FMCG environment.
• Knowledge/experience with controls, fault analysis and solution delivery.
• Experience of reactive and preventative maintenance.
• Good technical ability relating to automation hardware and software.
• Strong organisation and communication skills in a multi-disciplined team.

Responsibilities

• React to breakdowns electrically and mechanically, fault-find and implement improvements.
• Work with other departments to drive site improvements.
• Attend meetings, analyse data and propose solutions to enhance equipment performance while ensuring safety and clear communications.
• Contribute to engineering projects for installing and commissioning equipment.
• Perform PLC fault-finding and support automation initiatives.

My Client is a leading manufacturing site looking for Electrical maintenance engineer with FMCG experience to join on both an ongoing basis.

Duties

• Reacting to breakdowns both electrically and mechanically, fault finding, analysing and continuously improving the site.
• Work closely with other departments to improve the site.
• Attend meetings as required, analyse data and find solutions to improve equipment performance whilst ensuring safe working practice and full communications are maintained at all times.
• In addition, you will be involved in projects within the business to develop an effective engineering install and commissioning.

Requirements
