Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is supporting a leading manufacturing site in Nottingham to hire an Electrical Maintenance Engineer on a contract basis. You will react to breakdowns, fault-find electrically and mechanically, and work with other departments to improve site performance.

The successful candidate will hold a formal electrical or mechanical engineering qualification, have strong FMCG electrical experience, and be skilled in controls, fault analysis and PLC fault finding, with experience in both

Qualifications

• Formal electrical or mechanical engineering qualification.
• Strong electrical experience in FMCG environment.
• Knowledge of controls, fault analysis and providing solutions.
• Experience of reactive and preventive maintenance.
• Good automation hardware and software understanding.
• Strong organisation and communication in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

My Client is a leading manufacturing site looking for Electrical maintenance engineer with FMCG experience to join on both an ongoing basis.

Duties as a Electrical maintenance engineer:

• Reacting to breakdowns both electrically and mechanically, fault finding, analysing and continuously improving the site.
• Work closely with other departments to improve the site.
• Attend meetings as required, analyse data and find solutions to improve equipment performance whilst ensuring safe working practice and full communications are maintained at all times.
• In addition, you will be involved in projects within the business to develop an effective engineering install and commissioning.
• PLC fault finding

Requirements as a Electrical maintenance engineer:

• A formal qualification in an electrical or mechanical engineering subject (apprentice served, NVQ, HNC or equivalent)
• Strong electrical experience preferable within a FMCG environment.
• Knowledge / experience of working with controls, analysing faults and providing solutions.
• Experience of both reactive and preventative maintenance
• Good technical ability relating to automation hardware and software.
• Strong organisation and communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplined team of varying levels of technical experience.
