Job summary

Synergi Search & Select Ltd is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for an ongoing contract role at a manufacturing site in Nottingham.

You will respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns, perform fault finding and work with multiple departments to enhance equipment performance while ensuring safety and effective communication. The role includes involvement in installation and commissioning projects and requires FMCG experience.

Qualifications

• Formal electrical or mechanical engineering qualification required.
• Experience in FMCG environment preferred.
• Knowledge/experience with controls, fault analysis and providing solutions.

Responsibilities

• React to electrical and mechanical breakdowns, fault finding and continuous improvement of the site.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve site performance.
• Attend meetings, analyse data and propose solutions to improve equipment performance while maintaining safety and good communication.
• Participate in projects to develop effective engineering installation and commissioning.

My Client is a leading manufacturing site looking for Electrical maintenance engineer with FMCG experience to join on both an ongoing basis.

Duties as a Electrical maintenance engineer:

• Reacting to breakdowns both electrically and mechanically, fault finding, analysing and continuously improving the site.
• Work closely with other departments to improve the site.
• Attend meetings as required, analyse data and find solutions to improve equipment performance whilst ensuring safe working practice and full communications are maintained at all times.
• In addition, you will be involved in projects within the business to develop an effective engineering install and commissioning.
• PLC fault finding

Requirements as a Electrical maintenance engineer:

• A formal qualification in an electrical or mechanical engineering subject (apprentice served, NVQ, HNC or equivalent)
• Strong electrical experience preferable within a FMCG environment.
• Knowledge / experience of working with controls, analysing faults and providing solutions.
• Experience of both reactive and preventative maintenance
• Good technical ability relating to automation hardware and software.
• Strong organisation and communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplined team of varying levels of technical experience.
